STUDIO GEYSO20
The Studio Geyso20 is a place of artistic production. In the studio, people with disabilities have the freedom and space to develop and to cultivate their individual artistic expression.
Concept
Essentially, the artistic expression of people with disabilities is often a process of self-assurance. The team of Geyso20 provides both the space and the reliable framework and structure for their artistic work.
The artists of Geyso20 are in daily exchange with the team, who also documents the studio work in order to record artistic developments and to be able to communicate them in the artists´ way.
Impulses from outside, such as working at external locations, visiting exhibitions or artistic inspiration through readings are very much appreciated by the artists.
External visitors, such as students of the HBK Braunschweig, often report that they get to know a new way of dealing with artistic creativity, which extends their view of art in general: They meet artists who develop their art independent of the art market or art history.
